    Why Attend?

How can business schools accelerate progress and position themselves as contributors to the greater global good?

As Europe’s energy crisis deepens and businesses struggle to meet their climate commitments, there is renewed pressure on business schools to fill the sustainability skills gap and build a new generation of managers, leaders and entrepreneurs who can drive positive change.

Many business schools are responding by overhauling their programmes, moving away from the shareholder-primacy doctrine that has shaped their teaching in recent decades. Accreditation bodies such as the AACSB and Equis, as well as the UK’s Research Excellence Framework (REF) are pushing for reform by requiring universities to demonstrate societal impact.

But do these innovations go far enough? How can business schools accelerate progress and position themselves as contributors to the greater global good? What are the examples of best practice and the challenges of implementation?

This webinar, hosted by the Financial Times in partnership with InTent, showcased the winners from the Responsible Business Education Awards 2023, highlighting the outstanding work of researchers, teachers and students around sustainability and social purpose. It also discussed practical and measurable strategies for enhancing responsible business practices.
